Pharmacy Vaccinations
Safe, Effective, Convenient
Pharmacies across Canada are now offering COVID-19 vaccinations, giving you a convenient local option for boosting your protection. Trained pharmacists are available to administer the vaccine and can help you make an appointment. Learn more below.
Why get vaccinated at a pharmacy?
Pharmacists are authorized to give COVID-19 vaccinations to make the process easier and more convenient for more of the population. In most cases, your local pharmacy will be closer to home than other vaccination sites, and you probably stop by the pharmacy regularly to pick up prescriptions or other household items. Many pharmacists also speak heritage languages, making it easier for all Canadians to ask questions and communicate about the vaccine with a trained professional.
Which vaccines are available?
The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) are now available at pharmacies in most provinces. Some pharmacies are offering AstraZeneca vaccines if you had it as a first dose and would like it as a second dose.
How can I book an appointment with a pharmacy?
Calling or dropping by your local pharmacy is the easiest way to find out if appointments are available. Your pharmacist can help you make an appointment and offer more information about which vaccines are available at that location.
